Jesus came that we might be healed with his stripes

 (part 1)

Because of the importance and the expansiveness topic of healing, I have decided to right this subject on more than on issue. My whole aim is for the reader to understand this issue.

One of the most important prophesy that talked about the suffering of Jesus is Isaiah 53. one of these prophesy is “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.” {Isa53: 5} healing is one of the cross’s gifts that is why it is written with His stripes we are healed. It means that by the stripes of Jesus we are healed. Every person believe in the salvation of Jesus he has to believe in the healing of Jesus because healing is included in the salvation. Every one believe that he is saved he should believe that he will be healed.

One of the most Important mission of Jesus on earth was healing the multitude. But the healing required one very important thing and that is faith, that is why we find Jesus asked some by saying “Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes."” {Mr9: 23} this is very important fact and that is ( all things are possible to him who believes). The multitude came to Jesus to be healed, they had faith to be healed and they were healed “Wherever He entered into villages, cities, or in the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged Him that they might just touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched Him were made well.” {Mr6: 56}

When Jesus went to His home also He wonder from their unbelief  and could not do one mighty work “Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them.”

I read the Bible in order, starting from Mathew to revelation and in this time I could see very clearly that Jesus healed everyone came for healing. “and begged Him that they might only touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched it were made perfectly well.” {Mt 14:36}

You could ask, how can I obtain faith?

The epistle to Romans says “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” {Ro 10:17} reading the Bible at least once a day builds faith inside us. So faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. Reading His precious promises is one of the things that increase our faith. For when we read the Bible every day, if we may say that His promises is stored in the spiritual store house and when you need a promise because you feel down or discourage or you need heeling you will find a verse come out to comfort you or for your healing. And you may say a sentence and you do not even recall that this is a verse. Many times I find my self recite a sentence and later on I find out it is a verse.

I will give an example

When we lived in America, I thought of a project which can bring some money and I shared it with my husband Saad and he said it is a good idea but let us pray about it. When I prayed I felt the Lord is saying no and I find myself saying this sentence “then you say in your heart, ‘My power and the might of my hand have gained me this wealth.” {Deu8:17} of course I said that in Arabic and I said to myself that I do not speak a formal Arabic this way. And I prayed , if this is a verse please show me where is it. Few hours went by and an American lady cam to me and asked me, she said: I have heard a sermon which speaks about how God can give us wealth, do you know where can I find this verse. I said yes, it is in Deuteronomy chapter 8 and I opened my Bible to show her and my eyes fell on the verse before and it was “then you say in your heart, ‘My power and the might of my hand have gained me this wealth.” Defiantly this verse was stored in my spiritual store house and it cam up in the right time.

Jesus … said to him, "Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He Has Had compassion on you."

The first miracle happened to me was in 1988, I was sick with sever hypothyroidism. I was taking medications for seven years. When I decides to surrender my life to my Lord Jesus Christ, I was reading the Bible very seriously and I started with the new testament and I have noticed how Jesus healed the multitude and everyone touched Him was healed. So I prayed from all my heart for Jesus to heal me, I prayed every day that my thyroid to be normal. I must of prayed for about two month. Then I found that my heart beat was very fast, I was sweating badly and I was very hot although we were in winter and I was unable to sleep well. This went on for few days and I start to pray that Jesus takes this symptoms away. I felt Jesus is saying that I have healed you from the thyroid and the symptoms you are feeling  because you do not need the medication. So I decided to stop the medication and I felt better immediately. At that time we were having prayer meeting in our home and we were praying for Jesus to heal all our disease and at that time there was a doctor praying with us. After a month I went to see this doctor and she asked me :how is your thyroid? I said to her I forget to tell you that Jesus healed me from the thyroid. She screamed and said no one take medication for the thyroid for seven years and be healed of it. I laughed and said: how about the prayer meetings we have and we pray for the healing of Jesus, is it a play or joke or what? She asked me to stretch out my arm to have a blood sample, which I did and the results came out perfect.

When we went to America we moved between four states and in every state I have to go to a different doctor. When the doctor asked me about my medical history I tell him about the story of my thyroid and their reaction always the same: give me your arm to have a blood sample because no one have medication for seven years and be healed. And my answer always the same: you can have my arm but I am telling you that Jesus healed me. The results came of course normal. My comments is: I told you Jesus healed me. 

 

I want to say that I do not encourage any one to stop medication as I did but you have to seek the opinion of your treating doctor

 

 

This story expressed a high level of faith. I truly had a high level of faith that Jesus will heal me from this disease and He did. I mentioned this story to encourage every one that Jesus came to heal us with His stripes.

The healing of Jesus continue into the book of acts and until now

 “so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them. Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and they were all healed.” {Ac5: 15,16} the miracles of healing were carried on until the time of the apostles and until now all is required from the sick person is to have faith that Jesus is able to heal him and I repeat Jesus. Always remember that faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God.

I do not think I wrote an article without mentioning how important is reading the Bible. I can not imagine my life without reading the Bible. My life in the past was lost and full of misery and depression, but now after reading and knowing the Bible I am not lost anymore because the Bible answers all life issues. There are some people that claims that the Bible do not answers all life issues, I say to those because you lack the knowledge. The many miracles that happened to me

I have mentioned  in few articles ago that we see our heavenly father like we see our earthly father. So if our earthly father is stingy we will see our heavenly father is stingy and we will make sure that what we have enough money … so on. My earthly father was caring and companionate, if I am sick he will spend the night up caring for me. My earthly father will do any thing for me. So when I ask my heavenly father for any thing I was sure he will do it for me. And if He was late in answering my prayer I would say: Lord why are You late, if I ask my papa he would it do by now. My husband was amazed to the way I talked to the Lord and my answer would be : I am talking to my heavenly father. That is why I ask him and I am sure he will answer me.

I will mention some of the miracle that happened to me and I will mention the rest in the next article.

1- I had bleeding in my eye, I saw every thing red and Saad and I prayed hard and God stopped the bleeding and there were no trace for a clot.

2- I fell on a concrete floor and I had a concoction. The doctor ordered me to stay in bed and not to move. I asked him: can I go to church so they can pray for me. He answered me and said, if I say no you will not listen to me. Just go and come back and stay in bed. I went to church and they prayed for me I was totally healed. When I went to see the doctor I told him that Jesus healed me (he was a Jewish doctor) he examined me and wrote in the report that God healed her.    

3- I found myself bleeding badly from the rectum and when I went to the doctor he decided to carry out laparoscope’s and he found a growth on the rectum wall 2 cm big, which is a big growth. He referred me to a specialist of colon immediately. I talked to one of my doctor friends and he said to me that the specialist who examined you should have a surgeon with him and he should cut the colon with a safety margin to make sure that all traces of this growth be removed because the growth look like a cancer, my friend was very disturb. After I finished the telephone conversation with my friend I decided to pray and my prayer was like that: dear Jesus You are my healer. I will not listen to any human been but I will listen to what You say. I want to hear Your voice, I have faith that You will heal me, please talk to me Lord.

I waited upon the Lord until He answered me and He said the doctor will go in and will not find the growth, I will remove the growth. And I find myself open the Bible and my eyes fell on the following verses “" Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment.  For she said, "If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well." Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.” {Mr5: 25-29}I knew and I had faith that I will be healed. I told a friend of mine that Jesus healed me and He removed the growth. And when the nurse called me to tell me about the solution I have to drink to empty my bowls I said to her that Jesus removed the growth and the doctor will go in and will not find the growth. When the doctor sat with me he said it is about 90% cancer but this time he will have a biopsy and next time he will open me and have a surgeon with him to remove the growth and remove a big part of colon to remove any traces of cancer. I said to him do not worry because you will not find any thing. Truly he did not find any thing at all. This is small part of the healing of Jesus for me.

I will continue the subject of healing next edition just to explain to the readers that I am simple house wife loved Jesus from all her heart and loved His word so much…… we will continue next time with more of the miracle of Jesus….
