Guilt feeling 1
Guilt Feeling (part two)
We
continue the articles about guilt
feeling. Last article we talked about
how Jesus Had suffered greatly and how
He shed His blood to forgive our sins,
if we repent of them. We also
mentioned the reasons for guilt
feeling and the first verse of many
verses which speak about the
forgiveness of Jesus. In this article
we continue pondering on the rest of
the versus.
2- “Who is a God like You, Pardoning
iniquity and passing over the
transgression of the remnant of His
heritage? He does not retain His anger
forever, Because He delights in
mercy. He will again have compassion
on us, and will subdue our iniquities.
You will cast all our sins into the
depths of the sea.” {Mic7:18,19} This
is our Jesus; He came from heaven to
earth to forgive our sins and cancels
out our iniquities for He delights in
mercy. You are His heritage now if you
accept Him as Savior and Lord. He will
subdue all sins. If sin has power over
you and if you are in Him and He is in
you, then He will subdue your sin. He
will also cast all sins into the
depths of the sea. He did not say into
a river or the shores of the sea but
in the depths of the sea. Can you find
any thing after you cast it down in
the depths of the sea? It is
impossible. When you repent of your
sins you will not find them for our
Good God will cast them down in the
depths of the sea. He loves you and
wants to forgive your sins for He paid
His precious Blood for your
forgiveness.
3- “He has not dealt with us according
to our sins, nor punished us according
to our iniquities. For as the heavens
are high above the earth, so great is
His mercy toward those who fear Him;
As far as the east is from the west,
so far has He removed our
transgressions from us.” {Ps103:10-12}
if God dealt with us according to our
sins, or punished us according to our
iniquities, we will all go to hell but
His mercy is great toward those who
fear Him. Can you measure how high the
heaven from the earth? It is
impossible. His mercy is great for
those who fear and revere His Word. He
removes our transgressions from us as
far as the east is from the west. Do
you think east and west can ever meet?
It is impossible, thus your sins God
will cast them out from you when you
repent.
Isaiah 53
One of the most
wonderful chapters in the Bible is
Isaiah 53. This chapter is a prophecy
about Jesus the Savior, and the
atoning power of the cross. I highly
recommend reading this chapter. I will
mention some of the verses in the
chapter “But
He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our
iniquities; the chastisement for our
peace was upon Him, and by His stripes
we are healed. All we like sheep have
gone astray; we have turned, every
one, to his own way; and the LORD has
laid on Him the iniquity of us all….
He was taken from prison and from
judgment, and who will declare His
generation? For He was cut off from
the land of the living; for the
transgressions of my people He was
stricken….Because He had done no
violence, nor was any deceit in
His mouth. Yet it pleased the LORD to
bruise Him; He has put Him to grief.
When You make His soul an offering for
sin, He shall see His seed, He shall
prolong His days, And the pleasure of
the LORD shall prosper in His hand. He
shall see the labor of His soul, and
be satisfied. By His knowledge My
righteous Servant shall justify many,
For He shall bear their iniquities…..;
and He bore the sin of many, and made
intercession for the transgressors”
Isaiah 53
In the
following lines we will ponder on the
atoning work of Jesus Christ:
1-“He
was wounded for our transgressions”
transgression is rebellion against the
law of God. Jesus was wounded for our
rebellion against God’s commandments.
Jesus suffered for your sins and will
forgive them if you repent. Never
doubt God’s love for you.
2-“He was bruised for our
iniquities” the word bruised also
means; crushed to small pieces. Our
Lord Jesus was crushed because of our
mistakes and sins. Trust that Jesus
loves you and He does not desire that
you perish. Do not waste the suffering
of Jesus for you. Enjoy His
forgiveness.
3-“The chastisement for our peace was
upon Him” the chastisement means also
rebuke. The chastisement and rebuke
that should come upon us came upon
Jesus for He took our place so we may
have a free forgiveness and salvation.
All is required from you is to come to
Him believing that He will forgive
your sins totally without any addition
from any human been when you repent.
He took our punishment and gave us His
peace that surpasses all
understanding. Do not believe that you
have no forgiveness in Christ Jesus;
you have assuered forgiveness in the
Savior Jesus.
4-“All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned, every one, to his own
way; and the LORD has laid on Him the
iniquity of us all” it is an unfair
equation for we all, not some but all,
were like a sheep have gone astray and
the Lord Has laid on Him the iniquity
of us all. Have you ever seen how the
shepherd guides his sheep when they go
in different directions? He guides
them with a staff, not to harm but to
direct. We all like sheep have gone
astray, we went in the ways of eternal
destruction, yet it pleased the Lord
to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief
instead of us, just to forgive all of
our sins. There is no need to carry
your sins, for no one can bear his
sins. Jesus is the only one who is
able to carry the sins of all us for
He is Jesus the Savior.
5- “He
was cut off from the land of the
living; for the transgressions of My
people He was stricken.” The living
God and the Holy One was cut off from
the land of the living so everyone of
us can live the life of Jesus. I want
to give this illustration of a man
built the most beautiful house with
the best material and furnished it
with the best of the best and after
looking at the house and admire the
beauty of it, he decided to demolish
it. Do you think he made the right
choice? Absolutely not, he is unwise
person. Beloved; when Jesus Christ
died on the cross, He died to save
you. His Salvation cost Him every
thing for He came from heaven to earth
and lived a miserable life for His
Salvation to be completed. The living
King became a slave to save every one
of us. The Loving God that heals
everyone with a Word from Him and His
merciful touch, He was beaten badly
from the roman soliders and His sweat
came out like blood just to heal you
from every infirmity, spiritual,
emotional or physical. Do not waste
time and do not listen to Satan’s lies
when he tells you that there is no
forgiveness for your sins even if you
repent of them. Jesus was cut off from
the land of the living to save and
forgive you.
6- “When You make His soul an offering
for sin,” Jesus Christ with His choice
and pleasure made Himself, not your
self, an offering of sin. An offering
of sin was offered in the Old
Testament on behave of the person who
have committed a sin unintentionally
or unknowingly. But Jesus Christ
offered Himself as sin offering to
save us from every sin we have
committed knowingly and intentionally
if we repent of them. Come to Him like
the prodigal son did and told Him: I
have sinned against you. Confess to
the living God who died for the sins
of the whole world, the one who paid
the most precious price for your
salvation, his blood to save you and
give you His life on earth and eternal
life in heaven. Do not waste time and
trust that your sins will be forgiven
when you repent to heavenly father in
Jesus precious Name.
7-“By His knowledge My righteous
Servant shall justify many” no one in
the whole world has the perfect
knowledge like our Lord Jesus Christ.
With His perfect knowledge He knows
all your circumstances; he knows what
forced you to sin. Be assured that the
righteous Servant who became Servant
so you become a king, will justify you
when you come to Him with a sincere
repentance from your heart.
8-“For He shall bear their iniquities”
the Holy God is the one who will bear
all your iniquities. He did not trust
any one to bear your iniquities and
save you, but He carried all our
iniquities.
9-“And He bore the sin of many” the
Bible is the best book ever written,
it is all the truth. The verse says He
bore the sin of many and it did not
say He bore the sin of everyone, but
He bore the sin of many. The many are
the ones who repent of their sins
only. Many could be praying for you
but until you repent of your sins,
your sins will not be forgiven.
10-“and made intercession for the
transgressors” the word intercede in
Hebrew means also pray and meet. Jesus
was incarnate, crucified and risen to
intercede for the sinners and meet
with every one of us while we are in
the depth of sins, no matter how bad
they are. He is willing to and wanting
to forgive our sins which we did
knowingly and unknowingly, all is
required from us is to come to Him and
repent of our sins sincerely.
Please remember that the blood of
Jesus Christ is sufficient to forgive
all the sins of the world, no matter
how horrible they are. Come to Him and
pure your heart before Him and be
assured that you have forgiveness in
the blood of the crucified. For this
reason Jesus came, suffered, crucified
and was risen for the forgiveness of
your sins, big or horrible, it will
never be too big for the blood of
Jesus, the Son of God.
Some may say but I have repented of my
sins and I do not find any peace or
comfort, but the opposite is true, I
feel so guilty after I repent from all
my heart.
This is true in some cases, but I say
that every Christian who wants to live
a godly life with Jesus Christ will
feel guilty at some times because
Satan will not leave us alone.
What is the solution? There are two
sources of feeling guilty:
1-the first one is the conviction of
the holy spirit, for one of the Holy
Spirit roles is to convict the world
of sins {Joh16:8} when the Holy Spirit
convict us over a sin and we respond
with a true repentance, from a sincere
heart, we will feel an amazing peace
and joy as if we were carrying a
burden and it was lifted of us “If we
confess our sins, He is faithful and
just to forgive us our sins and
to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness” {1Joh 1:9}
2-the second source of guilt feeling
is the condemnation and the accusation
of Satan. One of Satan roles is to
accuse us “Then I heard a loud voice
saying in heaven, " the accuser of our
brethren, who accused them before our
God day and night, has been cast down”
{Re 12:10} Satan aim is to torment
God’s children rightly or mistakenly.
He will remind you of your sins, the
ones you did intentionally or
unintentionally so you will loose your
peace at all times.
The important question is how I know
the difference between the conviction
of the Holy Spirit and the
condemnation of Satan? The answer is
very simple, if you feel guilty about
a sin and you felt at peace after you
repent it, then this is the Holy
Spirit. But if did not feel peace
after you have repented and repented
then this is Satan, he is trying to
steal your peace. You have to take
your stand in Christ Jesus who gave
the authority “Behold, I give you the
authority to trample on serpents and
scorpions, and over all the power of
the enemy, and nothing shall by any
means hurt you” {Lu10:19} speak to
Satan with the authority of Jesus
Name, tell him: in the Name of Jesus
leave me alone devil. Remember when
Satan tried to tempt Jesus in the
forty days fasting, how Jesus answered
him? It was always with the written
Word “And the devil said to Him, “If
You are the Son of God, command this
stone to become bread." But Jesus
answered him, saying, "It is written,
‘Man shall not live by bread alone,
but by every word of God”{Lu4:3,4}
I have mentioned a very few verses
that speaks about the forgiveness of
sin so you can rejoice in the Lord
your God who loves you sincerely. Who
gave Himself up for our salvation “Not
with the blood of goats and calves,
but with His own blood He entered the
Most Holy Place once for all, having
obtained eternal redemption” {Heb
9:12} the Holy One died to save the
sinners, like every one of us, that we
may become righteous before the throne
of God. I pray to our good God that
you trust His Word when He said “for I
will be merciful to their
unrighteousness, and their sins and
their lawless deeds I will remember no
more.” {Heb 8:12} and “their sins and
their lawless deeds I will remember no
more” {Heb10:17}
Come to Him now and ask for His
forgiveness and I can assure you will
find it because all His promises are
always true.
