About

Sabah Nasr was born in May
1949 in Egypt. She became a committed Christian at the
age of sixteen when she attended a Christian meeting
with her brother. She migrated to Australia in April
1972 with her parents where she met her husband Saad
Nasr, born in February 1948, a biomedical engineer, and
got married in January 1976. The cares and worries of
this world shocked the Word in her.
In 1987 she
and her husband went through some hard time, when they
lost a large sum of money.
While she was praying hard
to recover the money, her eyes fell on the Bible that
was on a small table, she was so angry at God for she
thought that God caused the loss of this money. She
picked up the bible and said: that is it, what you want
from me? She immediately had peace inside her when she
heard a voice inside her saying "I want you" "she
answered back: ok; you can have me". That was in
November 1987 and from that day onward she never missed
a day without reading the Bible at least once a day. It
was true that God allowed for the loss of this money,
but probably she and her husband would have never got
committed to follow the leadership of the Lord Jesus
Christ if they did not loose this money. It was the
ultimate mercy of the Lord (For what profit is it to a
man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?
Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?)
{Mt16:26}
Sabah believes that reading the
Bible and praying everyday are as essential as eating and
drinking.
In November 1991 she and her
husband moved to USA. Her husband worked as successful
biomedical engineer and she studied some courses in counseling
and began serving the Lord Jesus Christ as a counselor and
speaker in ladies' meetings and seminars. She had the privilege
to counsel a variety of people from many nationalities and
different walks of life.
